Last week I had the opportunity to meet up with fellow Omaha Bloggers to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Omaha Bloggers.
Our meet-up was hosted by Hiro 88 in the Old Market one block east of Hyatt Place, they served lots of delicious food. Hiro 88 has three locations in Omaha to choose from. As you would expect from any restaurant in the Old Market they also had outdoor seating that looked clean and comfortable.
The Crab Rangoon was the best I’ve had, so light and flaky with an excellent creamy flavor. This was my first time to try Edamame and it was great as well. The Fried Gyoza looked like a pot sticker and was delicious. All of the rich colors made a feast for the eyes.
We were also treated to a selection of 15 different types of sushi. I have only had sushi a few times in the past and wasn’t sure what I would like but was pleasantly surprised to find that everything I tried was delicious. My favorite was the Hero’s Crunch Roll that had crab, avocado, cucumber, tempura fried, topped with hot sauce. It was closely followed by the Golden Gate Roll made of crab, avocado, cucumber, with shrimp and avocado on the outside.
Sunday is happy hour all day long at Hiro 88, I had a refreshing Mojito, yum! Several of the gals around me all had different types of drinks and they all looked really good.
Cupcake Omaha, also in the Old Market, provided decadent cupcakes for our celebration. I had a triple chocolate cupcake that was moist and yummy.
Disclaimer: Thank you to Hiro 88 and Cupcake Omaha for helping us celebrate by providing the delicious treats. However, all opinions and views are my own.
