Copycat Olive Garden Salad Dressing Review

I don’t know about your family, but everybody in my house loves the salad at Olive Garden, but much to my displeasure not everybody loves pasta so we don’t get to eat there as often as I would like.  I’ve seen many copycat Olive Garden salad dressings across the net so I thought I would try one from Mommy Savers because, it has over 2,000 pins on Pinterest.

Over Memorial Day Weekend was the perfect time to try it out with some Pork Kabobs.  It was a beautiful day for grilling and eating outside.

Memorial Day 2014

I shared a bunch of great Pork Recipes in my last blog post.

Olive Garden Salad

We found that this dressing was not actually identical to Olive Garden’s.  Olive Garden seems to be more oil based, than this salad which is more watery.  It tastes good and makes the perfect amount to pour over one head of lettuce chopped up.  Jim actually liked this salad maybe a little better than Olive Garden’s because it is less vinegary, so if you were really wanting the vinaigrette  flavor this would not be the dressing for you.  We would recommend trying it because we did like it.

Olive Garden Salad Dressing

  • 1/2 C. mayonnaise
  • 1/3 C. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. Romano cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp.  Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp.  parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Mix all ingredients in a blender until well mixed.  If this is a little too tart for you, add a little extra sugar. Set in fridge for about an hour to let flavors blend.
