Lizzie’s Birthday in Sioux City

Recently we celebrated Lizzie’s birthday.  Her birthday actually fell on Thanksgiving Day, so she had friends over earlier.  The Dairy Queen where we live always closes through the winter so we had to make sure to get her birthday cake before it closed up.  DQ ice cream cakes are always the best, especially the fudge in the middle.

The next day we went to Southern Hills Mall.  There was a new carousel that the girls were excited to ride.

They got lots of funny looks wearing the birthday hats through the mall:)

Without any guys along they got to spend as much time as they wanted smelling all of the scents in Bath & Body Works.

They didn’t miss any of their favorite shops.

On the way out they told Santa what they wanted for Christmas where they got Minion masks from Dispicable Me.

I think photo booths will never go out of style, even in today’s world of cell phones that take pictures wherever, whenever.

By the time we were done at the mall the girls were starving.  Lizzie’s current favorite place to eat is HuHot.  I searched the internet and came up with a really good seafood recipe to make, it’s always hard for me to decide what to mix and how many scoops of what sauce so the starter recipes here are great.

Before we left for home they talked me into stopping at Peachwave, we had never been there before.  They have numerous different flavors of frozen yogurt which you can mix as you like in the bowl that you get at the beginning of the line.  From there you can add any of the toppings and sauces you want.  At the end they put your dish on a scale and tell you what you owe.  It had a really neat feel inside with cute tables and comfy chairs.

When the day was over we still had a basketball game to get home to, but I think we all had a great time.  Hard to believe my babies are both teenagers.

ajepsen@live.com - It was a beautiful carousel, looked like it was brand new off of the assembly line because it was so clean and shiny! Would be so fun to get photos of your little one on it :)ReplyCancel
